Static code

The content is stored inside the code for good. Once printed it cannot be changed; you have to generate a new code. Dynamic codes, whose target can be swapped later, are planned for the next stage.

The side of one square (module) of the code. Recommended 0.25 to 2 mm.

Error correction level

How much of the code can be damaged or covered without losing data. A higher level gives a bigger code.

Quiet zone

Blank margin around the code required by the standard. Keep it on.

The finder patterns in the three corners stay square whatever you pick, because a scanner starts from them.

Logo in the middle

PNG, JPG, SVG or WebP, up to 512 kB. The file stays in your browser and is never uploaded. Adding a logo raises the error correction to its highest level.

What is SMS QR code

An SMS QR code opens a new message with the number and a prepared text. It is used for service requests, sign-up lists and promotions where a customer texts an agreed keyword to a given number.

We use the SMSTO form, which the widest range of readers understands. The message is always a suggestion: the phone owner sees it before sending and can change or clear it.

Frequently asked questions

Will the message send itself?

No. The code only prepares the message; sending needs a deliberate confirmation from the phone owner. No QR code can send a text without it.

Should I include the country code?

Yes, we recommend the international form such as +48221234567. The code then also works for someone abroad or on a foreign network.

Can I use a colon in the message?

Yes. A reader splits on the first colon after the number, so everything beyond it is the message. A time written as 10:00 is fine.

Can the message be empty?

Yes. The code then opens a new message with the number filled in and an empty body.

Does the text message cost anything?

Sending is charged by the sender's own operator. The QR code itself costs nothing and sends nothing.
