QR code generator for Google reviews

A QR code that opens the form for reviewing your business on Google. For a sticker by the till, a receipt or a business card.

Static code

The content is stored inside the code for good. Once printed it cannot be changed; you have to generate a new code. Dynamic codes, whose target can be swapped later, are planned for the next stage.

Code settings

Paste the link copied from your Google Business Profile. How to get it is explained below.

The side of one square (module) of the code. Recommended 0.25 to 2 mm.

How much of the code can be damaged or covered without losing data. A higher level gives a bigger code.

Blank margin around the code required by the standard. Keep it on.

Decoration

The finder patterns in the three corners stay square whatever you pick, because a scanner starts from them.

PNG, JPG, SVG or WebP, up to 512 kB. The file stays in your browser and is never uploaded. Adding a logo raises the error correction to its highest level.

Appearance

Hexadecimal, for example #000000.

Fills the quiet zone too.

Preview

Size with quiet zone: 20.5 × 20.5 mm. The on-screen preview is enlarged.

PNG file: 246 × 246 px, 304.8 DPI. Each module gets whole pixels and the DPI is set so the printout has exactly the size in mm shown above.

What is Google review QR code

A review QR code holds an ordinary link that opens the rating form for your business on Google. A customer scans it with the phone camera and sees the stars straight away, with no searching for the business first. That removes the tedious part, which is why most satisfied customers never leave a review.

Google offers its own QR code in the Business Profile dashboard, but as a PNG at a fixed size. Here you get the same link in a code you can download as SVG or PDF at an exact size in millimetres, colour to match your materials and give a logo. That matters when the code goes on a sticker, a stand, or to print alongside everything else.

Frequently asked questions

Where do I get the review link?

Per Google's own help: open your business profile at business.google.com, click "Read reviews", then "Get more reviews" (the share icon), and copy the link with the Copy button. If the option is missing, the profile is usually not verified yet, or you are signed in with the wrong account.

Doesn't Google already give me a QR code?

It does, in the same place as the link, but as a PNG image. This generator helps when you need a vector file for print, a particular size in millimetres, your own colours or a logo in the middle. If the PNG from Google is enough, use that.

Can I pay customers for reviews?

No. Google's policy expressly forbids offering incentives such as discounts or free products in exchange for a review. A QR code is there to make it easy for someone who already wants to leave one, not to buy ratings.

How large should the code be on a sticker by the till?

For scanning from about 30 cm, 2 to 3 cm wide is enough. Leave the quiet zone around it clear and avoid curved surfaces, which make it hard for a camera to read.

Will the review link ever stop working?

The link points at your business profile, so it works as long as the profile exists. If you change the business name or address, check the link again before the next print run: the code is static and cannot be changed once printed.
