Bulk barcode generator
Paste a list or load a CSV or XLSX file and generate up to 50 codes at once. Everything runs in your browser; the file is never uploaded.
Your list stays in your browser
The same code type for the whole list.
One entry per line, up to 50. A caption can follow after a tab or a semicolon.
CSV, TXT or XLSX. The first sheet is read.
How bulk generation works
Bulk helps once there are more than a handful of codes: shelf labels in a warehouse, inventory numbers, a code for each item in a range. Instead of typing every number, you paste the whole list or load the file you already keep in Excel.
Every row is checked on its own and the ones that will not work are shown with the reason. A bad row stays on the list rather than quietly disappearing, because among fifty numbers a missing one is easy to overlook, and it is the one that would end up as a missing label.
Frequently asked questions
Does my file reach your server?
No. The file is read in your browser and processed there. There is no route on this site that accepts a list of codes, so we have no way to see or store it.
Why a limit of 50 codes?
That is what the free version offers. Larger lists are planned for the paid plan; the limit is not technical, since the work happens on your own computer anyway.
Which file format should I use?
CSV, TXT or XLSX. The first sheet is read. Older .xls and .ods are entirely different formats and are not supported — open such a file in Excel or Google Sheets and save it as .xlsx.
What if Excel dropped the leading zeros from my numbers?
Excel stores long numbers as numbers and can lose a leading zero. Before saving, set the column format to text or prefix the numbers with an apostrophe. We read what is in the file and do not guess at missing digits.
How do you know which column holds the code?
We guess from the contents: the first column that is almost all digits. If the guess is wrong, change it in the field above the preview.
